Both of these entrepreneur dealers were of considerable influence and today their approaches are echoed on a smaller scale by many dealers and gallery owners. Present day dealers rarely specialize so clearly in this region nor do they have exclusive contracts or the degree of knowledge Grace Nicholson had. Additionally the vast majority of caps from earlier periods have entered museums or circulate slowly between white collectors.
