TRADITIONAL AND INVENTED PATTERNS 
  
Melissa Meyers and Queen James, sisters born in the 1880’s, were the expert weavers of the finest Yurok caps in 1929 (figs. 20) and (fig. 26). They were at their peak of perfection and wove traditional patterns with the greatest sensitivity.
