Cantharellus subalbidus
Cantharellus subalbidus is the white chanterelle. It is characterized by its pallid to whitish to pale cream color fruiting bodies, its white spores, its mild taste and odor, and the orange to rust-colored stains which typically develop at the stipe base. Cantharellus cibarius, the yellow chanterelle, has yellow spores, yellow colors in the fruiting bodies, and typically has a fragrant odor and a peppery taste. Stature: typically Clitocyboid.
