Strobilurus: white spores; convex to somewhat campanulate, bald pileus; white, subdistant, moderately brown gills; cartilaginous stipe which is often pale yellowish to whitish-yellow at the base. Stature: typically Collybioid. Habitat: often on cones of various conifers; sometimes on woody debris. Very common in northern California. Compare with Baeospora.
