Pleurotus white,
cream, or greyish-lilac spores; stature: Pleurotoid. Pleurotus
is a difficult genus to identify using just macroscopic features.
Two species are commonly collected. Pleurotus ostreatus with
its tan to whitish, glabrous pileus and P. dryinus with
its fibrillose-scaly, white pileus and its fibrillose partial
veil.
