Melanoleuca: white spores which are amyloid when viewed under the microscope; macroscopically it can be identified by its dark grey, grey-brown, brown, or tan, broadly convex to plane pileus, its white, close, narrow to moderately broad gills, and its narrow, straight stipe which is often longitudinally striate. Stature type: Naucorioid to Tricholomatoid.
