Leucoagaricus naucinus: white spores; Lepiotoid stature.

Leucoagaricus naucinus can be recognized by its pure white pileus, stipe, and gills; it has two forms, one which is pure white and one with minute gray scales on the pileus. It typically grows in grassy areas and looks like a species of Agaricus with immature spores, like A. campestris which grows in a similar habitat. However, the gills never turn pink in Leucoagaricus naucinus as they would in Agaricus.

The white form of this species is supposedly edible. The form with minute gray scales causes gastrointestinal upsets.
