Crepidotus: dull brown to fulvous (the color of a red fox). Stature type: Pleurotoid. Typically the pileus is glabrous, fibrillose, fibrillose-scaly, tomentose-scaly, or scaly and it is colored white, yellows, brown, or orange-tawny. In general, the pileus color differentiates Crepidotus from other brown-spored, pleurotoid, mushrooms.
