PEZIZALES: epigeous ascocarps with operculate ascus; families: Ascobolaceae, Helvellaceae, Humariaceae, Morchellaceae, Otideaceae, Pezizaceae, Sarcoscyphaceae, Tuberaceae( in its own order, Tuberales).

• Otideaceae: Ascocarps are ear shaped and split along one side; the ascus does not blue in iodine; the paraphyses are curved at the apex.

Otidea leporina: One of our most common soil inhabiting ascomycetes. In our area, can be found in spruce humus.
