- Botany 559 (Advanced Mycology)
- Lecture is devoted to contemporary topics of fungi with emphasis
on their biological role, genetics, ecology, uses, and morphological
development. Often involves group discussion of recent papers
in mycological journals. Laboratory is devoted to the identification
of various groups of fungi not emphasized in other courses, such
as corticioid fungi, species in fleshy fungi, polypores, and rusts
